Healing | Health

We’re always talking about how the yoga industry (and the world, in general!) needs to be more inclusive, to not only accept — but rather embrace — diversity. So you can imagine how happy we were to hear about Jessica Parsons, the first female yoga instructor with Down Syndrome making waves in mainstream media!

Jessica comes from a family of yoga teachers and enthusiasts so she was exposed to the practice of yoga asana at a young age. She currently teaches two weekly classes in Santa Barbara, California that cater to students of all practice levels, social backgrounds and physical abilities.

Check out the video above to see how she lives out her mission of providing “inclusive yoga to all.” You can also check out some of her yoga pose how-to videos and learn more about her here.
