Yoga for Larger Bodies: An Animated Yoga Documentary

Yoga | Yoga for Beginners

Yoga for Larger Bodies tells of one woman's experience of being a plus-sized yoga instructor. It is the origin story of a London yoga class specifically for larger bodied individuals, as taught by Janice Kate Fisher who also narrates the story.

The story is personal, framed in her own individual journey to heal from shame and to create a place where all kinds of health (mental, physical, social) were equally valued and where a 'healing dialogue' between herself and her students could begin.

The animation and all of the images it contains were created in keeping with the themes of union, meditation, and connection; it is formed of a single continuous line for its entire duration, giving it a peaceful feeling and a unique style of art.
