New Year's Eve is a time for looking back on what we accomplished in the past year, and for looking forward to what the future will bring. It also comes with a lot of introspection... perfect for a yogi!

1. Create a Nectar List
Thinking of the New Year generally stirs up thoughts about the future, which can cause a lot of stress and anxiety. Instead of creating a million and half New Year’s resolutions, spend the holiday creating a "nectar list", a list of the sweet moments from the past year.
Create a list of maybe 10 or 9228272 million things that made your year sweeter. The list can be on paper, a funky old sweater with clothing pens, or maybe something special from last year. This is your time: a time to foster gratitude, reflect on your accomplishments, and cultivate a positive ending to 2015.
2. Check Out Local Concerts and Festivals
What is happening around your local community? Some places host free concerts and festivals, as well as firework shows.
If there is not something already planned, see if you can volunteer during the day or create a community event such as a potluck or free yoga class for the evening.
3. Meditation Party
The New Year is a great reminder that time moves on outside of our control. Rather than be swept away with the movement, this time of year challenges you to be still and strengthen your power of patience and stillness.
Celebrate the New Year by mediating on your own, or gather your tribe and ring in the New Year with the sound of OM.
4. Create a Vision Board
Looking toward the New Year, what are your hopes? Take time to reflect if you've being working towards your dreams. You may realize you have already been working on them!
Nelson Mandela said, “may your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.” Create a vision board to reflect your hopes, focusing on how to make your large dreams more manageable with smaller mini goals. Make something that fits your lifestyle (i.e. large poster if you feel like you won’t be moving your board, cork board if you feel your hopes may change a lot over the next year, a piece of paper for easy transportation if you are on the go) and keep it close as a reminder of your hopes for the New Year.
5. Breakfast Party
An all-time favorite activity, get together with your loved ones and make breakfast for dinner and fresh juice drinks. Ending the year with an activity that usually occurs in the morning is a fun way to change perspective.
Maybe even throw in a few headstands for fun while the pancakes are cooking!
6. Clothing and Music Swap
A swap party is a great way to share new ideas and recycle clothes from last year as well as any well intended, but not-quite-your-style gifts from the holidays. You know, like that sweater your great-aunt bought with no return slip.
