Yoga Is For Everybody? Not Quite...

This 2-minute quiz shows you if yoga is for you. Or what you should do instead.

Time For You – 4 Things To Do Every Day

Yoga | Yoga for Beginners

There are only a few things on my everyday to-do list I know I actually want and need to do to feel balanced, energetic, open, alive. Even on off days, especially on those days. When things don’t work out the way you want them to work out. When you wake up with a little fogginess in your head or heart.

What is it that wakes you up, makes you enjoy your day, even if you had better ones in order to feel literally good in your skin? Add these four things to your list or make your own.

1) Move Your…

Stretch, move, exercise, use your body! It wants to feel alive, not sit behind a computer all day long. Bend, twist, balance in a few yoga poses. Put on your running shoes and go for a few blocks. Take your camera with you for a brisk forest walk. Dance in your living room with your favorite playlist on repeat.

Just half an hour a day already makes a difference. Difficult? Fit in little workouts that don’t feel like it. Go for a lunch walk. Run up and down the stairs and up again.

2) Inhale…Exhale

I’m quite passionate about conscious breathing. We all breathe, all day and night long. Take a minute to really be with your breath, experience every inhale, every exhale.

There’s lots of moments to fit these minibreaks in. When you wake up, still in bed, while showering or waiting for the bus to arrive. You can keep your eyes open, maybe place a hand on your belly. That’s it, no need to change the breath. Just observe.

3) Eat Vegetables

Eat vegetables, lots of them. Prepare them with love: raw, steamed, stir fried, oven grilled. Make them part of at least two meals a day and treat yourself to a green juice or smoothie every day.

It’s the greens that give you energy, glowing skin and a healthy tummy. Make sure that at least half of your plate is filled with these colorful fibers.

4) Write

Give your thoughts, feelings a stage (it doesn’t have to be deep) - your own personal notebook. Write down the everyday stories about your life, flashes of inspiration, funny jokes or things to remember.

Don’t think about it too much, jot down whatever comes up. It declutters, it’s fun to create and moreover a great way to express yourself.
